Dylan Martins

Biography

Dylan received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Oregon in 2020, during which he studied the assembly of microbial communities in the larval zebrafish gut. Dylan then studied mouse visual processing and depth perception during free movement at the University of Oregon. He joined Dr. Michael Goard’s lab in 2022 through the Dynamical Neuroscience program.

Research

Using mice as a model organism, Dylan studies the circuits in cortex that process visual input and incorporate these inputs into cognitive spatial maps that enable navigation.
